THE WINE: 
This wine shows the typical deep red garnet hues of youth.
The nose displays intense plum and dark cherry aromas, beautifully integrated with hints of white pepper.
The rich and concentrated palate is full of plummy fruit flavours .
The wine was matured for 18 months in American oak barrels, and has the tannin and fruit structure to mature gracefully in bottle for up to 15 years from vintage.
 
FOOD MATCHES: Oven-baked eggplant stuffed with tomato, parsley and fried onion also excellent with roasted venison, with beetroot and balsamic glaze.
